Functional Reactive Programming in the Netflix API

I have found a great presentation by Netflix engineer Ben Christensen on RxJava — a framework which is rapidly growing in popularity. RxJava has been part of my daily toolbox for considerable time. I can’t recommend it high enough if you want to make (parts of) your application reactive or tackle concurrency and asynchrony in a concise, declarative fashion.

We consider it a failure if anyone had to be worrying about atomics, concurrent sets, concurrent data structures; and definitely if they’re worrying about locking, synchronisation and volatile (c) Ben Christensen

I underwrite, Benjamin.
